Bulletin #8
June 8th
BULLETIN #8
Good evening Dolphins! Congrats on a great victory on Saturday against Deerfield Village, 358-296! Can you believe there is only ONE more dual meet for the season??? Speaking of which…
- Meet entries- If you haven’t signed up yet, or even if you think you have, please give it a double check tonight. Entries are due tonight at midnight, but we can still make adjustments for another day or so, until the meet is exchanged with Copperfield. If you miss the deadline, or need to change anything prior to the exchange, just email Laura at [email protected].
- Divisional Meet- Our biggest meet of the season is coming up on June 20! All swimmers are able to participate, with the only qualification being that you have swam in at least 2 of the dual meets. We won the division championship last year, so let’s make another strong showing! May I recommend that you go ahead and sign up for events now? You can still make changes until next Monday, but be sure to get events entered soon! By the way, the location was changed to Cy Lakes High School (originally scheduled for Cy Springs). More details to come…
- Furniture- It would be super helpful if everyone could just place furniture back in the general vicinity where it belongs when you are leaving practice. We try to leave the pool area in order at the conclusion of practice, but it would be easier if everyone could just do a little part rather than the last few people in the pool area rearranging it all. Thanks in advance!
- Pep Rally- We will have our final pep rally this Friday at 7:00 at the LOEN pool. Be sure to RSVP so we can get an accurate count for food.
- End of Season Banquet- Details are still being worked out, but save the date for our end of season banquet on Monday, June 22 in the early evening.
- Volunteer Points- Still need a few volunteer points? Be sure to check in with Kara at [email protected] and we can find a place for you! Even if you have your points, your help is appreciated, especially at the divisional meet on June 20.
- Coaches’ Area- Please remember that at practice and at meets, the coaches need to stay focused on the swimmers in the pool. After your race, stop by and check in, but then please return to your team area so they can provide feedback to all of the swimmers. (Yes, my own children will need to take this advice as well!)
Let’s finish the regular season strong this week against Copperfield! Go Dolphins!
