Hello LOEST family,

It’s hard to believe—our swim season is already coming to a close! As we wrap things up, we have a few important updates to share.

Call for Board Members – 2026 Season

The LOE Dolphins Board is made up of dedicated parent volunteers and includes seven key roles: President, Team Representative, Volunteer Coordinator, Treasurer, Secretary, Concessions, and Membership. Each position carries a two-year term, beginning and ending in July.

We currently have five open positions for the 2027 season and would love for you to consider getting involved.

Why Join the Board?

Serving on the LOE Dolphins Board is a rewarding way to contribute to our community and support our swimmers. Benefits include:

• No volunteer credit requirements
• A discounted registration for one swimmer
• The opportunity to help shape and improve the swim team experience

Most importantly, you’ll play a meaningful role in encouraging and fostering a lifelong love of swimming in our children.

Secretary: (Open)

The Secretary documents board meetings, oversees communications and manages the team calendar.

Treasurer: (Open)

The Treasurer manages our finances.

Note: Shel Saripella is our current treasurer and has volunteered to stay one more year if voted in.

Volunteer Coordinator: (Open)

The Volunteer Coordinator coordinates our parent volunteers' program.

Membership: (Open)

Note: Sarah Hill is our current Memberships chair and she has volunteered to stay one more year if voted in.

Recruits new families and helps all families to navigate the registration process. First point of contact for parents' concerns during the season.

Concessions: (Open)

Concessions manages our Home meet food and beverage sales, helps with catering at our end of season event, and coordinates merchandise sales.

The following people will continue in their roles:

Team President: Tom DeScioli (1 year remaining)

The Team President provides strategic and executive leadership to the swim team board, managing the team, the coaches, and the Board interactions.

Team Representative: Kelly Brewer (1 year remaining)

The Team Representative is the main representative of our team to other teams and NWAL.

Kindly respond to this email by end of the day on Friday July 12 if you are interested in any position.

Voting will happen over the weekend and new board members will be announced during our team party next Monday.
