LOE Dolphin Families,

This summer, our team will compete in 3 NWAL-sponsored invitational swim meets. Invitational meets are optional because swimmers must meet specific time standards to participate. The “minimum qualifying times” vary for each meet.

The first invitational will be CAT 5 on Sunday, May 24th at Cy-Fair ISD Natatorium. The entry fee for the CAT 5 mid-season invitational meet is $40/swimmer for up to five individual events with 6 & unders $10/event only if entered in 2 or fewer events. The team will cover the cost of relays. The coaches will form the relays once they know which swimmers will be participating. I will send out payment information in a separate email once the payment system is set up.

DEADLINE…SIGN UP BY SATURDAY, May 16th AT MIDNIGHT!

This Cat 5 mid-season invitational is a little different because all swimmers 13 years and older are invited to attend regardless of seed times.  However, swimmers 12 years and younger must achieve minimum qualifying times to participate. The deadline to sign
up for this meet is Saturday, May 16th, at midnight. We cannot accept late entries.

The qualifying times and more details are attached and also on our website attached to  the CAT 5 Event. You will sign up for this meet the same way you sign up for all the other meets. You will only be able to sign up for the events your swimmer has qualified for. There is a per swimmer limit of the 5 individual events and 3 relays.  Additionally, if your swimmer qualifies for 2 events, they can add 3 other events as "bonus" events.

We will also participate in two end-of-season invitational meets. We will have the option of Ponderosa June 20-21. This meet has very fast qualifying times. We will also have another option with more attainable times called Red, White, and Blue, held June 19-21. 

Invitational meets are a big accomplishment, and our swimmers often earn personal bests in these "fast" high school pools. We encourage swimmers to participate if they qualify!
