Divisionals Meet Info Reminder

REMINDER:

Hello LOEST Families,

We're in the home Stretch. This is a long email, but I promise it has all the information you need ahead of our divisional meet this Sunday. See attachment for more information.

Date: Sunday, June 15, 2025

Location: Cy-Fair ISD Natatorium

12550 Windfern Road B

Houston, Texas

Pool: One eight-lane, 25 yard indoor pool with non-turbulent
lane lanes will be used for competition. Two eight-lane warm pools with
non-turbulent lane lines will be used for assigned warm-ups prior to the meet. Once practices conclude, the second pool will
be closed and not available for warm-ups/warmdowns for the duration of the
entire meet.

Directions: Use Beltway 8 (North Sam Houston Parkway). Take the exit for

Fallbrook Dr/Windfern Rd. Travel northbound on Fallbrook toward FM 1960. Turn
right on Perry Road. Turn left on Windfern Road. Destination is on your right.
Parking can be accessed from Bobcat Road.

Coming from North of Houston/Cypress, use US-290
and take exit for FM 1960 E (Cypress Creek Parkway). Travel East on FM 1960 to
Bobcat Rd. Take Right on Bobcat Road. Destination is on your left.

Special Instructions:

Spectator Seating: The bleachers in the Natatorium will be
designated as COME AND GO SEATING ONLY.
The bleachers will only open 5 minutes before the start of the swim meet.
Parents are to watch their swimmer then leave the area in order to allow other
parents to view their swimmer’s events. Stadium seats are NOT ALLOWED in the
bleachers. This will be strictly enforced. No parents are allowed to stand
along the glass railing between the bleachers and pool at any time.

Set Up: There will be NO SET-UP in the bleachers or on deck. Set-up will
be outside the Natatorium. There is ample lawn space for set-up outside the
Natatorium.

No Coolers inside the facility: Coolers are NOT allowed in the Natatorium,
except for use by Concessions and the Hospitality area.

Wet Swimmers: ABSOLUTELY NO WET SWIMMERS ALLOWED IN THE COMMON AREAS.
All swimmers are to be fully clothed including shoes before entering the lobby
or spectator viewing area. (Parkas, towels, and/or robes over swim suits do not
constitute full clothing. Shirt and short/pants and shoes must be worn at all
times in the spectator area and lobby.) All swimmers that do not comply will be
asked to leave the area
.

Volunteers: Each team will be required to furnish certified officials,
timers, ready bench, safety marshals, runners and additional volunteers.
Each team in the division is required to provide enough volunteers so that the
meet is conducted with equal representation of all teams.

Time and Date: The meet will be held on June 15, 2025
beginning at 8:30 am. Warm-ups will be from 7:30 am – 8 am for LOE, DFV and WSG.

Medical Supervision: During
the meet, lifeguards, and AED devices will be present to provide any necessary
medical supervision and treatment for athletes participating in the meet.

Seeding: The meet will be pre-seeded in accordance with the 2025 NWAL
Rulebook. Any late entries or revisions will only be permitted pursuant
to the 2025 NWAL Rulebook.

All events will be seeded slowest to
fastest. No events will be swum combined.

Entries: All entries will be done pursuant to the 2025 NWAL Rulebook and
all teams must submit their entries electronically via Swimtopia. The
meet merge will occur at 6 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2025, unless another time
is agreed to by the Team Representatives of each team.

Qualifying Times: Pursuant
to the 2025 NWAL Rulebook, in order to participate in the divisional swim meet,
swimmers must have participated in, at least, 2 NWAL Certified Dual Meets.
Participation is defined as a swimmer entering the water in an NWAL event with
or without disqualification otherwise known as a splash. The swimmer must have
an Official Time in each individual event the swimmer is entered in. An
Official Time is one that was swum without disqualification at a meet which was
sanctioned by the NWAL in the current season.

Age: As of May 1, 2025.

Time Eligibility: Official
times must be achieved at an NWAL sanctioned swim meet. Time trial times are
not permitted to be used for divisional meet entries.

Number of Events: Swimmers
may compete in up to a maximum of three (3) individual events and up to a
maximum of 1 freestyle relay, 1 medley relay and 1 mixed relay.

Awards: Individual will be awarded 1st to
12th place (with medals going to the top 3 and
ribbons going 4th through 12th).
Relays will be awarded 1st to 6th
with medals going to the top 3 and ribbons going 4th through 6th).

Scoring: Individual events 14-12-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 and Relays
14-10-7-5-3-1.

Rules: The meet will be conducted pursuant to the 2025 NWAL
Rulebook. The meet will be held under the sanction of the NWAL League
Officers and Board of Directors. No entries can be accepted unless the
entrant is a member of the NWAL team attempting to enter such swimmer. All
participants must be registered 2025 NWAL swimmers. All participants must
have participated in, at least, two (2) NWAL Dual meet during the 2025 NWAL
season. Eligibility for an age group is determined by the individual’s age as
of May 1, 2025.

Timing System: The Time Drops® Wireless Swim Timing System
will be used. Three Time Drops® buttons will be used per lane with two
stop-watches per lane as a back-up. Teams will be required to furnish
timers. Each team will have equal representation of timers throughout the
meet. Timing assignments will be published prior to the meet.

Pool Deck Restriction: The swimming pool deck, before, during and
after the operation of the meet, is closed to all persons except swimmers,
coaches, marshals, officials, meet personnel, and timers. If you are
asked to leave the deck by any meet personnel, please do so. It is for your and
the swimmers’ safety.

All coaches and
officials must display NWAL issued badges to be allowed on deck.

Deck Changes: Deck
Changes are prohibited. Deck Change means changing, in whole or in part, into
or out of a swimsuit when wearing just one suit in an area other than a
permanent or temporary locker room, bathroom, changing room or other space
designated for changing purposes.

Audio/Video Recording
Devices
: Use of audio or visual
recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in the area behind
the starting blocks, in changing areas, restrooms, showers or locker rooms.
Violators may be reported to law enforcement or other governmental authorities
and/or may be barred from the facility during the event.

Swimmers with
Disabilities
:
Coaches and Team Representatives are responsible for notifying the Meet Referee
of any disability prior to the competition and for providing their own
assistant of equipment.

Hospitality: A Hospitality room will be available for coaches and officials
only.

Meet Results: Meet
results will be posted periodically throughout the meet in a designated area of
the facility. Final meet results will be posted through Swimtopia.

Concessions: Concessions will be available for
breakfast and lunch.

Team Areas: Set up can begin at 6:00 AM. Each teams’ setup
shall be outside the Natatorium in the grassy areas around the Natatorium. SET
UP IS NOT ALLOWED
IN THE NATATORIUM, THE STANDS IN THE NATATORIUM, IN
PRIDGEON STADIUM, ON THE CONCRETE OUTSIDE, OR IN THE PARKING LOTS OR DRIVEWAYS
.

Ready Bench: Will be set up indoors. Swimmers will enter at
the doors nearest to the 3-meter diving board. The ready bench area will be
along the warm-up pool on the side furthest from the stands. ONLY SWIMMERS
AND VOLUNTEERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE READY BENCH AREA
. Parents and spectators
will not be allowed in the ready bench area for any reason. Swimmers will exit the Natatorium at the
doors nearest to the 1-meter diving boards.

Coaches: Coaches will be set up on the competition pool along the side
nearest to the stands. Coaches are required to show badge for entry on
deck.

Parking:Parking is allowed in any
designated parking spot in front of or behind Ken Pridgeon Stadium. Parking in
front or behind the Natatorium is prohibited. The front lot is reserved only
for officials and coaches and the backlot is blocked off for swimmer safety.

In the Natatorium: NO SET UP ALLOWED!! There will be
posters and Safety Marshalls directing everyone to where they can Enter and
Exit. NO STROLLERS OR COOLERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE NATATORIUM. NO WET SWIMMERS
ARE ALLOWED IN THE LOBBY OR STANDS. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO STAND ALONG THE GLASS
RAILING IN FRONT OF THE STANDS. ENTRY AND EXIT FOR SPECTATORS IN THROUGH THE
MAIN ENTRANCE OF THE NATATORIUM OR THROUGH THE FURTHEST DOORS NEAREST TO THE
1-METER DIVING BOARDS. IN THE VIEWING DECK EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE MINDFUL OF THE
OTHER FAMILIES WHO ARE THERE TO SEE THEIR SWIMMERS.
We are asking that
everyone SIT and WATCH. And when your swimmer is done to LEAVE.
ANYONE WHO IS DISRESPECTFUL OR CAN NOT MIND THE RULES MAY BE ESCORTED OUT BY A
POLICE OFFICER AND NOT ALLOWED BACK IN.

Warm Ups: Will begin at 7:00 AM with the following teams warming up at the
designated times. SWIMMERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE WATER UNTIL THEIR
DESIGNATED WARM UP TIME.

7:30 AM – 8:00 AM
