Although we are not quite to the end of the season, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers, and our Board Members. Without your support and dedication, the Dolphins would not be able to function and our children would not have the fantastic summer program that they so greatly enjoy!

Call for new Board Members:

Summary: The LOEST Board is made up of parent volunteers and consists of seven positions. Three positions are a one-year commitment: President, Team Representative, Volunteer Coordinator. Four positions are a two-year commitment: Treasurer, Secretary, Concessions, Membership. Terms begin and end in July.

There are many perks of being on the LOE Dolphins Board of Directors, the most important one is the joy you have, knowing you are encouraging and cultivating the love of swimming for children in your community.

Other advantages include:

No volunteer credit requirements

Have input on the inner workings of the LOE Dolphins Swim team. We are always looking for ways to improve the swim team experience for our swimmers

We have four open positions for the 2025 season.

1 year term:

Team President: (Open – typically filled by a current Board Member)

The Team President provides strategic and executive leadership to the swim team board, managing the team, the coaches, and the Board interactions.

Team Representative: (Open)

The Team Representative is the main representative of our team to other teams.

Volunteer Coordinator: (Open)

The Volunteer Coordinator coordinates our parent volunteers program.

Note: our current President Nancy Jackson and our current Volunteer Coordinator Elisa Dean have agreed to remain on the ballot and serve one more year if voted in.

2 year term:

Secretary: (Open)

The Secretary is in charge of communications and managing the team calendar.

The following people will continue in their roles:

Treasurer: Shel Saripella (2 years remaining – note this role was filled by a Board vote May 3^rd due to the resignation of our existing Treasurer mid season)

The Treasurer manages our finances.

Membership: Sarah Hill (1 year remaining)

Recruits new families and helps all families to navigate the registration process. First point of contact for parents' concerns during the season.

Concessions: Susan Lam (1 year remaining)

Concessions manages our Home meet food and beverage sales, helps with catering at our end of season event, and coordinates merchandise sales.

We will open the formal vote for new Board members on the 11th June.
