Register your swimmer by 9pm this evening for this saturday's divisional meet!
Good Morning Dolphins!
It’s amazing how time flies… here we are at our final meet of the season -- the Divisional Meet this Saturday, June 17, 2023! As we have all season, please ensure your swimmer is registered by this evening, Tuesday June 13th, at 9pm. PLEASE NOTE, if your swimmer has not swam in at least two dual meets this season, they will be unable to register/swim at Divisionals, per NWAL rules.
Meet Location: Cy Springs High School -- 7909 Fry Road, Cypress TX 77433 (20 min drive -- just North of 529/Fry Road intersection)
Volunteer Check- In: 6:45- 7:10 a.m.
Swimmer Check-In: 6:45- 7:10 a.m. (Swimmers must be checked-in by 7:10 a.m.) *Please be on time! Coaches and Board Members will be involved in pre-meet meetings and activities and will have limited access to their cell phones during this time and will not be able to check swimmers in.
Team Setup- All teams will be setup indoors in the cafeterias – please bring your chairs as well as extra towels/blankets/sweatshirts for your swimmers in case they get cold after their swims. We will hang check-in posters for our team in our designated area and will be setting up swimmer age groups with staffed parent volunteers in our area.To preserve space, we encourage our younger swimmers to sit on the floor area. We must maintain a walkway in our team zone so please follow the blue tape on the floors to mark walkways. Overflow seating will be in the hallway. You can ONLY sit from the columns to the wall -- the main hallway portion must remain clear per Fire Marshall. If you bring a cart/wagon for your effects, beware it may need to be stored away from our area…typically these have been stored outside the nearest building exit and retrieved when ready to pack up.
Ready Benches – There will be a DJ announcing the events that need to be at the ready bench. Ready benches will be set up in the Athletic Hall.
Rules for Spectators -- Spectators are only allowed in the upstairs area of the Natatorium. Once your swimmer has completed his/her event please meet your swimmer outside to congratulate them. You cannot stay up in the stands to watch the entire meet. We need to be respectful and allow everyone the opportunity to watch their athlete. Also, please be respectful of the safety monitors and their requests. We must maintain a safe environment for everyone. A BIT OF ADVICE: Consider bringing earplugs or noise canceling airpods for the spectator area, as the stands can get pretty loud during the meet.
Concessions -- Concessions will be set up at the back end of the hallway, near the cafeteria. This is going to be our longest meet of the season (possibly until 4pm) so please plan accordingly.
Restrooms – Restrooms inside the school building will be open for public use.
LOE Dolphins Warm Up: 7:30-7:50 a.m.It is imperative that everyone warm up, especially to test goggles since the diving blocks are higher than our swimmers are used to using
Volunteer Shifts:Our team has 58 required volunteer positions assigned by our NWAL Division that must filled for our team to participate, and there are still a handful that need to be filled by the meet. The shifts for Divisionals are broken into three shifts. The 1st shift is Events 1-24, 2nd Shift Events 25- 56, and 3rd Shift is Events 57-86.
End of Season Party: Please be sure to RSVP for our end of season party, being held at the LOE Pool June 19th from 6:30-9pm. Leave your money at home and feel free to bring your swimsuit -- pizza, desserts and drinks will be provided for all! There will also be coaches awards as well as a video slideshow of this season. Please note, there will not be any parent volunteer requirements for this event – this is your evening to relax and unwind after a HOT swim season.
Thank you for a great season and hope to see you again next year!
