Registration remains open for our Next Meet - Sat June 11
Good evening Dolphins Family! What an exciting weekend of swimming we've had, with our last home meet on Saturday and then our team participants in the Summer Heat Invitational today. A big thanks to Christine Bivins for heading up the organization of this Invitational for our team!
Registration remains open for our next meet, against the Fairfield Area Swim Team, or FAST, this coming Saturday, June 11th. As always, registration will close promptly at 9pm on Tuesday June 7 -- please be sure to register before the deadline!
FAST swim at the Fairfield Central Park, at 15015 Heath Green Circle, Cypress TX 77433, which is about 19 miles away, or about a 25 minute drive early on a Saturday. Please plan accordingly, as swimmer sign-in will start promptly at 6:45 and close at 7:10. Volunteers, please also don't forget to sign in as well. If you are running slightly behind schedule, please reach out to another parent or board member and let them know you are still on the way. I can always be reached at 832-816-9381. If you wish to contact Nancy Jackson, Volunteer Coordinator, you may do so at 713-899-6258.
As the visiting team, we will be setting up outside the pool area, so be prepared with sunshade options and your own chairs. PLEASE NOTE, we will be bringing the team tents to this meet (the collection of age-grouped tents we set up along the lakefront at LOE), and ask our swimmers to stay in their designated tent areas when not swimming to keep this meeting moving efficiently.
Our final "meet" of the season will be on June 18th -- our Divisional Meet at Cy Springs High School -- in which we will compete against all the teams we have swam against this season. There is a ton of preparation and involvement from all teams to organize this event, and more details will be forthcoming. Do note, there WILL be volunteer requirements for our Dolphins family for this event.
A FINAL NOTE for our new families -- If you haven't perused the loedolphins.swimtopia.com website in full, please do so. There is a wealth of information incorporated into the site, including this seasons meet schedules, stroke tips and techniques, volunteer requirements, and finally maps/directions to all our away meets. And of course, feel free to ask any of us Board Members for any clarifications.
