1st Swim Meet of the Season Sat 14th May against Jersey Village

Hi all,

Our first swim meet against Jersey Village will be tomorrow 14th May Saturday at the Lakes on Eldridge Pool. Swimmers and volunteers are asked to check-in at the meet between 6:45- 7:10 am. Swimmers not checked in by 7:10 a.m. will be scratched from the meet and will not be allowed to swim.It will be busier than Time Trials as we have the Away Team in attendance as well. The Away Team will set up their Tents on the grass outside the Club House. The Meet will start at 8.30am

At the LOE pool, parking is not allowed along the opposite side of the street across from the clubhouse (there will be posted signs). Please park only on the street sides nearest the pool center and the main lake.

When you arrive at the pool on Saturday morning, please check in at the Swimmer Sign-In table. Your swimmer will be marked as in attendance. Feel free to write the event numbers on your child’s arm large enough so they can be easily read.

If you are volunteering, please check-in at the Volunteer Sign-In table. In order to receive credit for your shift, volunteers must check in with the Volunteer Sign-In table.

Pool Etiquette

We are guests at the LOE pool and would like to be able to continue swimming at this pool in the future. Last week we did have a nesting duck in the area which was causing some excitement amongst our swimmers. We encourage you to speak to your children about being respectful of wildlife and leaving them alone. Please remember to throw your trash away properly. It is very important that we leave the pool area at the end of the meet in a better condition than when we arrived. Historically, we have had issues with chairs not being put back, trash left out, and the bathrooms being left in poor condition.

Big Recommendations:

1. Tonight (Friday) - prepare everything that you plan to bring – Saturday morning will be very early.

2. Bring a shade - tent or umbrella.

3. Eat pasta for dinner. And go to bed early!

Good luck to all our swimmers! Thanks and Let’s Go Dolphins!
